[FIXED] Can't Adjust Screen Brightness in Laptop

Hello! This is Gigaster I bought an HP Pavillion with an A4 AMD processor, it can play NBA 2K14 with a few tweaks to run it smoothly. After using my laptop for a week I noticed that I can't adjust my laptop brightness using Hot Keys even going to power options to manually adjust the brightness couldn't fix it. When I was using windows 7 I don't experience this form of trouble. I just upgraded my windows 7 to windows 8.1 I thought upgrading messes the brightness button so I considered switching back. But I stumble a friend and helps me to solve my screen brightness problem. And now I'm willing to share with you the solution!

I maintain this tutorial plane and simple to easily read.

1. Supposedly you are using Windows 8 go to search and type "run" and press enter or Windows Key+R after opening the run menu type in "regedit" without quotation.

2. After opening regedit go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000

You can follow the screenshot below for better understanding.

3. Go to Class folder

4. Then find {4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} folder

3. Open "0000" folder and Look for KMD_EnableBrightnessinterface2 double click it

4. Change its value data to "0" and resatart computer!

After restarting you can adjust your brightness using hot keys or manually.  I hope this tutorial helps you! Please leave a comment if there is something wrong with my tutorial.
